Life Groups

We realize that doing life alone can be tough. Challenges can build us up or tear us down. Sometimes we might wonder as we're walking through unique experiences--can anyone else possibly relate??? That's where Life Groups come in! Meeting together with others can help us get a good perspective on our own lives.

Life Groups are an integral part of what we do as a church.  At Heartland they are the key way to get connected and be encouraged to grow spiritually. We believe spiritual growth flows out of two basic commitments:

 

°  A commitment to God and the Bible.

°  A commitment to significant Christian relationships.

It is our goal to have every member of our church involved in a Life Group. Why?

  ·  We believe that continuous life change occurs when we are growing in a relationship with Christ, and that this happens best when we are prioritizing intentional relationships with others who are seeking this same goal.

  ·  Life Groups provide people with the opportunity to connect with others, grow in their relationship with Christ, and experience community.

  ·  Our Life Group leaders create environments for people to develop and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

Life Group Specifics:

·   Comprised of 10–16 people

·   Each person commits to attend as often as possible

·   Each group meets weekly or bi-weekly

·   Each person supports one another spiritually

·   Groups study a sermon-based curriculum

·   Groups meet from September to December and from January to May

If you find the Life Group you started in is not for you, that’s okay.  You may attend a different Life Group.

 Life University Vision

The purpose of Life U. is to offer courses that will further your spiritual growth and build relationships.

Life University Focus

Life U. workshops are not lectures, but interactive dialogues with the material.  There is a high participation level, where learning is active, not passive.  We believe the more you engage with the material, the more you will learn and be able to pass on to others.

Life University Schedule

Life U workshops will be offered at different times throughout the year.  Details will be announced as workshops are scheduled.
