History

The original launch team of Heartland Community Church was comprised of ten families from Grace Church in Normal, IL. Planning for Heartland began in mid 1994, and the church had its first Sunday service on March 19, 1995. Heartland met at University High School for over five years. 

In July of 2000, Heartland moved into its new facility on N. Linden St. in Normal, IL. Currently, we average over 400 people in attendance on Sunday morning.  Heartland continues to grow. In the summer of 2008, we expanded our parking lot. In late 2009 or early 2010, we have plans to add an additional 6,000 sq. feet onto the south end of the building for our children and youth.  See additional information on our expansion by clicking HERE.
