BE MY VALENTINE: Staying in Love

In simple terms, the key to staying in love is for the husband to show unconditional love to his wife and for the wife to show unconditional respect to her husband. (Ephesians 5:33)

When they don't, husbands and wives get caught in the crazy cycle. For instance, men hear criticism as contempt; women see silence as hostility. Love for a wife includes: closeness; openness; understanding; peacemaking; loyalty; esteem. Respect for a husband includes: appreciating his desire to work; to protect and provide; to be strong and lead; to be a friend.
